Fox News recently reported that President Trump is sending 200 troops to Nigeria to protect Christians who are being persecuted there. Fox has also reported Christians being killed in Sudan. So, why isn’t President Trump sending troops to Sudan as well?
Memoirs of a Speculator: Asking Google Gemini about the biggest individual stock loss of my short life (QVC Group)
We are currently in the midst of an artificial intelligence arms race. Chat GPT already has a pay wall. Do you think Google Gemini or other AI systems are going to provide this type of information for free forever? If you’re a retail speculator (like me) you should probably be setting aside some time to ask an AI platform about the stocks that make up your portfolio… It’s not going to be free forever…
“Show me [the data].”
What would happen if we took it upon ourselves to show not tell? What if we politely ask for a link to the data supporting a person’s point of view? What if we held ourselves to higher standards of [empirical] evidence? Why don’t we take a lesson from the skeptics and turn the Show Me State motto into a mantra for empiricism?
Question: Does the USA need Greenland?
It’s possible that another country (e.g. China, Russia) or group of countries (e.g. European Union) could seek to seize Greenland to develop its resources and use its land for its own strategic advantage. The United States may be seeking to beat its rivals, including the European Union, to this potential outcome. But, what if they don’t need to?

Question: Is Canada the USA’s most important strategic ally?
Canada’s land area holds a vast amount of untapped natural resources and affords plenty of area for population growth and economic expansion as global temperatures continue to trend upward. Canada’s long border and location between the U.S. mainland and Alaska suggests the United States would be divided from its largest state without its largest geographic ally. The absence of a U.S.-Canadian alliance would turn the World’s longest and most peaceful border into a geopolitical and defense nightmare while separating the United States from strategic partnerships and diverse resources in Canada and the arctic.
Keeping your Republic: Is the U.S. Facing a Regression of Political Representation?
Do you think the #UnitedStates is experiencing a #political #regression and #failure of #representation? At the close of the 1787 Constitutional Convention, as delegates left Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, A woman, often identified as Elizabeth Willing Powel, asked #BenjaminFranklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”. #Franklin replied, “A Republic, if you can keep it”. Are we keeping it?
Opinion: Renee Good’s Tragic Death Demonstrates Systemic Societal Failures of Both Uniformed & Civilian Training, Preparedness, and Response
Renee Good’s tragic death demonstrates systemic societal failures of both uniformed and civilian training, preparedness, and response. I am hoping for a just verdict in this case and more insightful context to be revealed before a jury in a court of law. What is clear to me is that many quick (fast-thinking) decisions were foolishly made in this incident, and it should be used as a training video for (1) how not to approach and endeavor to stop a vehicle and (2) how not to respond to a law enforcement officer.
Question: Does The United States Need Venezuela’s Oil?
The Trump Administration has seized multiple oil tankers and President Trump has stated that Venezuela will soon cede 30-50 million barrels of oil to the United States. The U.S. was the world’s top producer of oil in 2022 and 2023. Venezuela was not even listed in the top ten. So, does the Trump Administration need Venezuela’s Oil: Probably, Maybe, or Probably Not?
