Day 293 of year 12,026. Paris experienced its most violent protests and riots approximately two centuries ago during the span of nine decades that witnessed the first and second republics along with the rise and fall of the Napoleon and Bourbon monarchies. In comparison, France has experience much more mild but nevertheless serious protests of government policy changes over the last seven years. Thousands of protestors, some of whom vandalized property, marched in France over the weekend. Police enforced a curfew in Paris last night. 855 (0.78%) of an estimated 110,000 people who marched in the streets of Paris were arrested.
Cut for Time: Nationwide there were approximately one-eight-zero-zero of five-five-zero-zero-zero-zero (zero-point-three-three percent) protestors arrested.
